Moss

There are thought to be 12,000 Species of moss. The all to familiar moss that we at used to dealing with is soft and covers like a green lush mat.

To some, moss may be an eye sore. While others may want to promote its growth. Japanese gardens use moss for its ability to add a sense of calm and stillness to a garden scene.

Removing Moss from your Patio
Grab a watering bucket. A mixture of 1 part water and 1 part bleach should be enough to dry out the moss. Just water the area in question as you would water a plant. Some may find that one application per year is enough while other may see the need for few more.

Preventative Measures
Increasing the pitch of a patio that is built in an area that is suseptable to moss can certainly help discourage growth. Not to much of an increase or you will feel the pitch, not a good thing.
